It seems far away right now, as the rainy/snow mix falls, but planting time will be here in 8 weeks.
Now is the time to plan and clear out weeds. Maybe wait until next week when it's in the 50's again. 😉
We will have tubers and plant starts ready to go for our last spring frost date here in Zone 6b.
If you have pre-purchased tubers they will be ready to go in the ground. We will also have pre-sprouted tubers along with dahlia cuttings. I would wait to plant these for a few weeks. Planting instructions will be printed for you to take home.
Our plant starts will include: 3 types of annual phlox, 2 types of asters, ageratum, chocolate lace flower and cafe au lait cuttings. These plant starts will provide you with specialty cut flowers from June-October.
We will have these listed on our website in March for pre-purchase. They can be picked up on the 19th or 20th at the farm in Georgetown. You can also schedule to pick them up in Lexington.
